Today, Attawalpa has released his Spells EP, featuring previous List Pick ‘Holliday’ and new focus track ‘Go to the Moon’. The London-based Peruvian songwriter is a prolific creator and depicts this desire as a means of “Self-preservation, performing, connection and healing.” He continues, “It’s like an obsessive puzzle, a means to heal which gets released on stage. It keeps me sane and insane.” While the chances of taking to the stage have been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, there’s nothing to stop artists and bands from releasing their music online. Alongside the EP, there’s an intimate music video for ‘Go to the Moon’. Soaked in luminescent shades of blue and red, the self-identifying misfit Attawalpa growls his inner thoughts over a textured production.
